ආරක්ෂක සේවා අණ සහ මාණ්ඩලික විද්යාලයේ 16 වෙනි උපාධි ප්රදානෝත්සවය ජනාධිපති රනිල් වික්රමසිංහ මහතාගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් ඊයේ (08) පස්වරුවේ කොළඹ නෙලුම් පොකුණ රඟහලේදී පැවැත්විණි.
ත්රිවිධ හමුදාවේ නිලධාරීන් සඳහා උපාධි ප්රදානය කරනු ලබන ආරක්ෂක අධ්යයන ක්ෂේත්රයේ අන්තර්ජාතිකව පිළිගත් මෙරට ප්රමුඛතම උසස් අධ්යයන ආයතනයක් වන ආරක්ෂක සේවා අණ හා මාණ්ඩලික විද්යාලය ත්රිවිධ හමුදා නිලධාරීන්ගේ අණ හා මාණ්ඩලික අංශයන් දෙකෙහිම වෘත්තීය දැනුම හා අවබෝධය වර්ධනය කිරීමේ අරමුණින් ස්ථාපිත කරන ලද්දකි.
ආරක්ෂක සේවා අණ හා මාණ්ඩලික විද්යාලයේ පාඨමාලා අංක 16 සඳහා සහභාගී වූ ශ්රී ලංකා යුද හමුදා නිලධාරීන් 76 දෙනෙක්, ශ්රී ලංකා නාවික හමුදා නිලධාරින් 26 දෙනෙක්, ශ්රී ලංකා ගුවන් හමුදා නිලධාරීන් 25 දෙනෙක් මෙන්ම බංග්ලාදේශය, ඉන්දියාව, මාලදිවයින, නේපාලය, පාකිස්තානය, ඕමානය, රුවන්ඩාව, සෞදි අරාබිය, සෙනගල්, සැම්බියා යන රටවල් නියෝජනය කරමින් සහභාගී වූ නිලධාරින් 11 දෙනෙක් මෙහිදී උපාධි ලබා ගත්හ.
ජාතික ආරක්ෂාව පිළිබඳ ජනාධිපති ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ උපදේශක හා ජනාධිපති කාර්ය මණ්ඩල ප්රධානී සාගල රත්නායක, ආරක්ෂක අමාත්යාංශයේ ලේකම් ජෙනරල් (විශ්රාමික) කමල් ගුණරත්න, ආරක්ෂක මාණ්ඩලික ප්රධානී ජෙනරල් ෂවේන්ද්ර සිල්වා, ගුවන් හමුදාපති එයාර් මාර්ෂල් සුදර්ශන පතිරණ, නාවික හමුදාපති වයිස් අද්මිරාල් නිශාන්ත උලුගෙතැන්න, යුද හමුදාපති ලුතිනල් ජෙනරල් විකුම් ලියනගේ, ආරක්ෂක සේවා අණ සහ මාණ්ඩලික විද්යාලයේ පීඨාධිපති මේජර් ජෙනරල් ලසන්ත රොද්රිගෝ, පොලිස්පති සී.ඩී. වික්රමරත්න යන මහත්වරු ඇතුළු පිරිසක් මෙම අවස්ථාව ට සහභාගි වූහ.
Defence Services Command and Staff College Graduation Ceremony held amidst pomp and pageantry
The Graduation Ceremony of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) Course No 16 was held at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre yesterday (08). President Ranil Wickremesinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Defence Secretary General GDHK Gunaratne (Retired), Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva, Tri-Forces Commanders and the IGP attended the ceremony as Guests of Honour.
Course No 16 commenced in January this year and concluded in December. A total of 127 officers comprising 76 Officers from the Sri Lanka Army, 26 Officers from the Sri Lanka Navy, and 25 Officers from the Sri Lanka Air Force graduated at yesterday’s ceremony. In addition, 11 foreign graduates from Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Oman, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Senegal and Zambia were among those who graduated on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering, President Ranil Wickremesinghe said that today’s warfare is not confrontational between armies, but it is economic, cultural and technological.
He noted that being a weak country does not mean it is weak militarily. “You cannot be weak economically. So this is why I have set about these new reforms which will make us economically strong by 2050.”
For this, he said that regional cooperation is vital for stability in the Indian Ocean region.
The Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) is the highest seat of military learning for middle-grade officers of the Tri Forces and was established to develop the professional knowledge and understanding of selected Student Officers both in Command and on the Staff where all military doctrinal and strategic level planning and teachings were brought under one roof, as practised by many other Armed Forces of the world.
Senior Advisor to the President on National Security and Chief of Staff of the President Sagala Ratnayake, Defence Ministry Secretary, General Kamal Gunaratne (Retired), Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva, Air Force Commander Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, Navy Commander Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, Army Commander Lt. Gen. Vikum Liyanage, Vice Chancellor General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University Major General Milinda Peiris, Security Service Command and Staff College Commandant Major General BKGML Rodrigo, Inspector General of Police C.D. Mr Wickramaratne and others participated in this event.

முப்படைகளின் அதிகாரிகளுக்கு பட்டங்களை வழங்கும் பாதுகாப்பு கல்வித் துறையில் சர்வதேச அளவில் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட உயர்கல்வி நிறுவனமான பாதுகாப்பு சேவைகள் கட்டளை மற்றும் பணியாளர் கல்லூரி, முப்படை அதிகாரிகளின் கட்டளை மற்றும் பதவிநிலை என்ற இரண்டு பிரிவுகளிலும் தொழில்முறை அறிவையும் புரிதலையும் வளர்க்கும் நோக்கத்துடன் நிறுவப்பட்டதாகும்.
பாதுகாப்பு சேவைகள் கட்டளை மற்றும் பணியாளர் கல்லூரியின் கற்கை நெறி 16 இல் பங்கேற்ற, இலங்கை இராணுவத்தின் 76 அதிகாரிகள், இலங்கை கடற்படையின் 26 அதிகாரிகள், இலங்கை விமானப்படையின் 25 அதிகாரிகள் இதன்போது பட்டங்களைப் பெற்றனர். இதனத் தவிர பங்களாதேஷ், இந்தியா, மாலைதீவுகள், நேபாளம், பாகிஸ்தான், ஓமான், ருவாண்டா, சவூதி அரேபியா, செனகல் மற்றும் செம்பியா ஆகிய நாடுகளை பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் 11 அதிகாரிகளும் இங்கு பட்டங்களைப் பெற்றனர்.
தேசிய பாதுகாப்பு தொடர்பான ஜனாதிபதியின் சிரேஷ்ட ஆலோசகரும் ஜனாதிபதி பணிக்குழாம் பிரதானியுமான சாகல ரத்நாயக்க, பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சின் செயலாளர் ஜெனரல் (ஓய்வு பெற்ற) கமல் குணரத்ன, பாதுகாப்புப் பதவி நிலைப் பிரதானி ஜெனரல் சவேந்திர சில்வா, விமானப்படைத் தளபதி எயார் மார்ஷல் சுதர்சன பத்திரன, கடற்படைத் தளபதி வைஸ் அட்மிரல் நிஷாந்த உலுகேதென்ன , இராணுவத் தளபதி லுதினன் ஜெனரல் விக்கும் லியனகே, பாதுகாப்பு சேவை கட்டளை மற்றும் பதவிநிலைக் கல்லூரியின் பீடாதிபதி மேஜர் ஜெனரல் லசந்த ரொட்ரிகோ, பொலிஸ் மா அதிபர் சி.டி. விக்ரமரத்ன உள்ளிட்ட பலர் இந்நிகழ்வில் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.
