ලෝක බැංකුව එම තත්ත්වයන් සමීපව නිරීක්ෂණය කරමින් සිටින බව හෙතෙම අවධාරණය කරයි. FARIS HADAD-ZERVOS මහතා මේ අදහස් පළ කළේ මුදල් රාජ්ය අමාත්ය ශෙහාන් සේමසිංහ මහතා සමඟ අද (03) මුදල් අමාත්යාංශයේ පැවැති විශේෂ සාකච්ඡාවක දී ය.

The government’s initiative to revive the economy of the country is appreciated by the World Bank.
Mr. Faris Hadad Zervos, the country director for Sri Lanka, Maldives and Nepal, of the World Bank, states that the government is demonstrating its commitment by taking various measures to restore the collapsed economy, and encouraged them to continue on their path of further governance reforms, a comprehensive debt restructuring and progress on an IMF program. He emphasizes that the World Bank is closely monitoring the situation. Mr. Faris expressed this opinion in a special discussion held today (03rd October) at the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies with the State Minister of Finance, Hon. Shehan Semasinghe. Secretary to the Treasury, Mr. Mahinda Siriwardena, Director General / Department of External Resources, Mr. Ajith Abeysekera, Director General / Department of Fiscal Policy, Dr. Kapila Senanayake and other officials participated in this event.
