කිලිනොච්චියේ චීන සමාගම ගැන තොරතුරු දෙන්නැයි ඇමැති ඩග්ලස් නිලධාරින්ට කියයි
වීන සමාගමක් මගින් කිලිනොච්චියේ පවත්වාගෙන යන මුහුදු කූඩැල්ලන් වගා පොළ පිළිබද තොරතුරු ලබා දෙන්නැයි ධීවර අමාත්‍ය ඩග්ලස් දේවානන්දාගෙන් නිලධාරීන්ට උපදෙස් ලබා දී තිබේ.
පසුගිය යහපාලන ආණ්ඩු සමයේ කිලිනොච්චිය ප්‍ර දේශයේ මුහුදු කූඩැල්ලන් වගා මධ්‍යස්ථානයක් හා අභිජනන මධ්‍යස්ථානයක් පවත්වාගෙන යාම සදහා ජලජීවී ආයතනයට අවසර ලබා දී ඇති අතර එහි සිදුවන කටයුතු පිළිබදව සොයා බලන ලෙස පසුගිය 30 වනදා දින ධීවර අමාත්‍යාංශයේ පැවති සාකච්ඡාවකදී අමාත්‍යවරයා අදාළ බලධාරීන්ට උපදෙස් ලබා දී ඇත.
උතුරු නැගෙනහිර පළාත්වල ධීවරයන්ගේ ආදායම් මාර්ගයක් ලෙස මුහුදු කූඩැල්ලන් වගාව ප්‍රචලිත කිරීමට රජය දැනටමත් කටයුතු කරමින් සිටින අතර පසුගිය වකවානුව පුරාම උතුරේ ප්‍ර දේශ කිහිපයක් තෝරාගෙන මුහුදු කූඩැල්ලන් වගාව ආරම්භකර ඇති අතර දැනටමත් මෙම වගාවට යොමුවී සිටින ධීවරයින් සදහා මසකට විශාල ආදායමක් ලැබෙමින් පවතියි.
මෙහිදි අදහස් දැක්වු අමාත්‍යවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් පවසා සිටියේ දෙමළ සංධානයේ සහයෝගයෙන් පවත්වාගන ගිය යහපාලන ආණ්ඩුවේ ඇතැම් පුද්ගලයන්ගේ උවමනාවන් මත උතුරේ ධීවර ජනතාවගේ සම්පත් හොර පාරෙන් සමාගම් වලට පවරා දී ඒ තුළින් ලැබෙන ආදායම යම් කොටසකගේ පමණක් සාක්කු පුරවාගැනීමේ ක්‍රමවේදයක් සකස්කර තිබු බවත්, අපගේ රජයට එම කටයුතු නිවැරදි කර අසරණ ධීවර ජනතාවගේ යහපත සදහා මෙම ප්‍ර දේශ භාවිතා කිරීමට ඇති හැකියාව සොයා බලා කඩිනමින් වාර් තාවක් ලබා දෙන ලෙස අදාල බලධාරීන්ට උපදෙස් ලබා දී ඇත.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට අමාත්‍යංශ ලේකම් ඉන්දු රත්නායක මහත්මිය,ධීවර දෙපාර් තමේන්තුවේ අධ්යක්ෂ ජනරාල් ,සුසන්ත කහවත්ත, ජාතික ජලජීවි වගා සංවර්ධන අධිකාරියේ සභාපති ජයන්ත විජේරත්න හා අධ්‍යක්ෂක ජනරාල් නිමල් චන්ද්‍රරත්න ඇතුලු මහත්ම මහත්මීන් පිරිසක් සහභාගි විය.
Minister Douglas asks officials to provide information about the Chinese company in Kilinochchi
Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda has instructed officials to provide information on a sea leech farm run by a linen company in Kilinochchi.
During the previous government of good governance, permission was granted to the Aquaculture Institute to maintain a sea leech cultivation center and breeding center in the Kilinochchi area.
The government is already working to popularize sea urchin cultivation as a source of income for fishermen in the Northern and Eastern Provinces.
Speaking further the Minister said that the government of Sri Lanka had set up a system to transfer the resources of the fishing community in the North to the companies illegally and to fill the pockets of only a portion of the income generated by the interests of certain individuals in the government of good governance which was maintained with the support of the Tamil National Alliance. Relevant authorities have been instructed to look into the possibility of using these areas for the benefit of the people and submit a report soon.
Secretary to the Ministry Indu Ratnayake, Director General of the Fisheries Department Susantha Kahawatta, Chairman of the National Aquaculture Development Authority Jayantha Wijeratne and Director General Nimal Chandraratne were also present on the occasion.
