ජපානයේ වෙසෙන ශ්‍රි ලාංකිකයන් සමඟ සම්බන්ධ වෙමින් ඩොලර් 225,000 ක් වටිනා කෝවිඩ් ආශ්‍රිත හදිසි උපකරණ රජයේ රෝහල් 14 කට පරිත්‍යාග කර ඇති බව ජපානයේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා තානාපති කාර්යාලය පවසයි.
ජපානයේ ක්‍රියාකාරී ශ්‍රී ලංකා සංගම් හතරක්, එනම්, ජපානයේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා ව්‍යාපාරික කවුන්සිලය, ජපානයේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා ඔටෝමොබයිල් සංගමය, කන්සායි ජපන් ශ්‍රී ලංකා ජාතික සංවිධානය සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකා වෘත්තිකයන්ගේ සංගමය තම සාමාජිකයින් බලමුලු ගන්වා මෙම වටිනා කටයුත්ත සඳහා සහාය විය.
නව කොරෝනා ප්‍රභේද වේගයෙන් ව්‍යාප්ත වීමත් සමඟ රෝහල්ගතව සිටින රෝගීන්ට ක්ෂණික ප්‍රතිකාර ලබා දීම සඳහා වෛද්‍ය උපකරණ ප්‍රමාණවත් නොවීම නිසා වෙන කවරදාටත් වඩා රෝගීන් මියයාමේ ප්‍රවණතාවක් දක්නට ලැබේ. තානාපති ගුණසේකර මහතා තම නිල නිවසේ දී ව්‍යාපාරික ප්‍රජාව හමුවූ අතර, සවිස්තරාත්මක පරිගණක ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමකින් අනතුරුව තනි තනි වශයෙන් ප්‍රශ්න හා පිළිතුරු සැසියක් මගින් මෙය “සාර්ථක ලෙස” ජීවිත බේරා ගැනීම සඳහා අවස්ථාවක් වන්නේ කෙසේදැයි පැහැදිලි කළේය.
රෝගීන්ගේ ජීවිත බේරා ගැනීම සඳහා අත්‍යවශ්‍ය වන HFNO යන්ත්‍ර, BMC යන්ත්‍ර, BI PAPS යන්ත්‍ර, වෙන්ටිලේටර්, ඔක්සිජන් නියාමක, NRBM යන්ත්‍ර, මල්ටි පැරා මොනිටර්, සිරින්ජ පොම්ප වැනි අත්‍යවශ්‍ය උපකරණ අටක් පිළිබඳ තොරතුරු සපයන ලදි. අදාළ රෝහල් අධ්‍යක්ෂවරුන්, ඉහත උපකරණ සැපයුම්කරුවන් සහ අදාළ ශ්‍රී ලාංකික නියෝජිතයින්ගේ තොරතුරු සම්බන්ධකතා පරිත්‍යාගශීලීන්ට භාර දෙන ලදි. තවද, අවශ්‍ය උපකරණ සහ රෝහල් සමඟ සැපයුම් ගැලපීමෙන් පසුව මුදල් සෘජුවම වෙළෙන්දන්ට බැර කරන ලෙස ඉල්ලා සිටියේය.
ශ්‍රී ලංකා තානාපති කාර්යාලය අදාළ රෝහල්වලට උපකරණ තෑගි කිරීම නිරීක්ෂණය කිරීම සඳහා දානපතියන්ගේ පවුලේ සාමාජිකයන් සම්බන්ධීකරණය කිරීම ඇතුළුව, ඇණවුම් කිරීම, භාරදීමේ කාලසටහන්, පිළිබඳ සියළු සැපයුම් සේවා සම්බන්ධීකරණය කළේය. සමස්ත ව්‍යාපෘතිය මුළුමනින්ම විනිවිද පෙනෙන ආකාරයෙන් වූ අතර, පරිත්‍යාගශීලීන්ට සියලු තොරතුරු සඳහා පූර්ණ ප්‍රවේශයක් තිබුණි.හදිසි ප්‍රමුඛතා පදනමක් මත අදාළ රෝහල් වෙත උපකරණ ලබා දෙන ලද අතර, එමඟින් සම්පූර්ණ ව්‍යාපෘතිය සති 3 කින් අවසන් කිරීමට හැකි වූ බව සඳහන් කළ යුතුය.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan with the Sri Lankan Expatriates delivers Essential Medical Equipment worth over $225,000 directly to 14 Corona Treatment Hospitals within three weeks of request
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan in connection with Sri Lankan expatriates living in Japan donated over $225,000 worth of Covid related emergency equipment to 14 government hospitals.
Many philanthropists came forward due to a special program introduced by, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan Sanjiv Gunasekara. This model allowed donors to choose their preferred medical equipment directly from authorized Sri Lankan suppliers and donate to a hospital of their choice. Appreciating the transparency adopted the philanthropists offered their contribution without hesitation.
Four of the active Sri Lankan Associations in Japan; the Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan, Sri Lanka Automobile Association in Japan, Kansai Japan Sri Lanka National Organisation and the Sri Lanka Professional Association mobilized their members and helped in this worthy cause.
With the rapid proliferation of new corona strains there has been a greater tendency for patients to succumb than ever before due to the inadequacy of medical equipment to provide immediate treatment to hospitalized patients. Ambassador Gunasekara met with the business community at his residence and through a detailed power point presentation followed by one-to-one question and answer session explained how this could be an opportunity for the “successful”to save lives.
Information on eight essential equipment such as HFNO Machines, BMC Machines, BI PAPS Machines, Ventilators,Oxygen Regulators, NRBM Machines, Multi Para Monitors, Syringe Pumps which are essential to save patients’lives were provided. The contact details of the relevant Hospital Directors, Suppliers of the above Equipment and the Information of the relevant Sri Lankan agents were handed over to the donors. Further, the monies were asked to be credited directly to the vendors after the commitments were matched with needed equipment and hospitals.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka coordinated all the logistics of placing orders, delivery schedules, including coordinating respective family members of donors witnessing the gifting of equipment to the respective hospitals. The entire project was fully transparent and donors had full access to all information. It is also worth to mention that the equipment was made available to the respective hospitals on an urgent priority basis which made it possible to complete the entire project in 3 weeks.
