22 ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධන පනත් කෙටුම්පතට අධිකරණ කටයුතු පිළිබඳ අමාත්‍යාංශයීය උපදේශක කාරක සභාවේ අනුමැතිය හිමිවේ
විසි දෙවැනි ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධන පනත් කෙටුම්පතට අදාළ අනුමතිය අධිකරණ, බන්ධනාගාර කටයුතු හා ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා ප්රතිසංස්කරණ අමාත්‍ය ගරු ආචාර්ය විජේදාස රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ සභාපතීත්වයෙන් පසුගිය 04 වනදා රැස්වූ අධිකරණ කටයුතු පිළිබද කාරක සභාවේදී හිමිවිය.
කාරක සභාවේදී අදහස් දක්වමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා පවසා සිටියේ ප්රජාතන්ත්රවාදය තහවුරු කරනු පිණිස 19 වන සංශෝධනයට එහා ගිය වඩාත් ප්‍රගතිශීලී සංශෝධනයන් සිදුකර ඇති බවයි.
නව ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනය අනුව ජනාධිපතිවරයා විසින් මහබැංකු අධිපතිවරයා පත්කිරීමේදී ව්‍යවස්ථාදායක සභාවේ අනුමතිය ලබා ගත යුතු බවත් මෙම සංශෝධනය 19 වැනි ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනයේ නොතිබූ බවත් අමාත්‍යවරයා පැවසීය.
තවද, 19 වැනි සංශෝධනය යටතේ විධායක ජනාධිපතිවරයාට ආරක්ෂක, මහවැලි සහ පරිසර යන විෂය පථයන් දැරීමේ බලය හිමිවී තිබුණද විසි දෙවැනි සංශෝධනය යටතේ එය ආරක්ෂක අමාත්‍යාංශයට පමණක් සීමා කර ඇති බවද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පෙන්වා දුන්නේය..
22 වැනි ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධන පනත් කෙටුම්පත හෙට (06) පෙරවරු 10.30 සිට පස්වරු 5.00 දක්වා ද 7 වැනි දින පෙරවරු 9.30 සිට පස්වරු 5.00 දක්වා ද විවාදයට ලැනීමට නියමිතය.

22 Amendment Bill to the Constitution approved for the Second Reading at the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Justice.
The Twenty Second Amendment Bill to the Constitution was approved for its Second Reading yesterday (04) at the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms chaired by its Chair and the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms, Hon. (Dr.) Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe.
Briefing those present in terms of the changes intended by the Amendment, the Hon. Minister stated that Amendments have been made under the Twenty Second Amendment to the Constitution going beyond what was included in the Nineteenth Amendment to ensure democracy.
Accordingly, a salient feature is that under Article 41C the President shall appoint the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka subjected to the approval of the Constitutional Council. This was not incorporated in the Nineteenth Amendment, the Hon. Minister stated.
Furthermore, under the Nineteenth Amendment, the power for an Executive President to hold Defence, Mahaweli and Environment portfolios has been limited to Defence under the Twenty Second Amendment.
The 22nd Constitution Amendment Bill set to be taken into debate tomorrow, the 6th from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm. and the 7th from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm.
