එංගලන්තයේ ක්රිකට් තරගවලියට සහභාගීවීමට ගිය මෙරටට ක්රිකට් ක්‍රිඩකයින් තිදෙනා සංචාරක ආරක්ෂිත බුබුල උල්ලංඝණය කිරීම හේතුවෙන් යළි මව්රටට එවන බව ශ්රී ලංකා ක්රිකට් ආයතනයේ සභාපති ෂම්මි සිල්වා මහතා පවසයි.
ඒ අනුව ශ්රී ලංකාවට පැමිණෙන මීලග ගුවන් ගමනේදී ඔවුන් තිදෙනාව එවනු ඇත. එසේම මෙවැනි වරදක් සිදු කිරීම හේතුවෙන් එළැඹෙන ඉන්දිය තරඟාවලියෙන්ද ඔවුන් ඉවත් කෙරෙනු ඇති.
එමෙන්ම සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් විධිමත් පරික්ෂණයක් සිදු කරන බව සභාපතිවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් කියා සිටියේය.
ක්රිකට් ආයතනයේ ආරංචි මාර්ගවලට අනුව එම වරදට අනුව බොහෝ විට ඔවුන්ට මාස 18 ක කාලයක් ක්‍රිඩා තහනමක් පනවනු ඇති බවයි.
Three street players return to motherland – Chairman Shammi
Sri Lanka Cricket President Shammi Silva says that the three Sri Lankan cricketers who went to England to participate in the cricket tournament will be sent back to the motherland due to the violation of the Tourism Safety Bubble. Accordingly, the three will be sent on the next flight to Sri Lanka. They will also be dropped from the upcoming Indian tournament for committing such an offense. He further stated that a formal investigation is being carried out into the incident.
According to Cricket Institute sources, they will be banned from playing for 18 months due to the offense.
