ජපානයේ යුද නෞකා 02ක් කොළඹ වරායට සේන්දු වෙයි
ජපාන ස්වයං ආරක්ෂක සාගරික බලකායට අයත්, මුහුදු බෝම්බ ඉවත් කිරීමේ පළමු බලඝණයෙහි (Minesweeper Division One) නෞකාවන් වන ‘URAGA’ නෞකාව ඊයේ ( 01) දින සහ ‘HIRADO’ නෞකාව නිල සංචාරයක් සඳහා කොළඹ වරායට සේන්දු වූ අතර, එම යුද නෞකාවන් ශ්රී ලංකා නාවික හමුදාව විසින් නාවික සම්ප්‍රදායානුකූලව පිළිගැනීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
මෙම ජපාන ස්වයං ආරක්ෂක සාගරික බලකායට අයත්, මුහුදු බෝම්බ ඉවත් කිරීමේ පළමු බලඝණයේ අණදෙන නිලධාරී ලෙස කපිතාන් NOGUCHI Yasushi කටයුතු කරනු ලබයි.
මෙලෙස කොළඹ වරායට සේන්දු වූ Minesweeper Tender වර්ගයට අයත් ‘URAGA’ යුද නෞකාව දිගින් මීටර 141ක් සහ නැව් මුළුව 130ක ගෙන් සමන්විත වන අතර එහි අණදෙන නිලධාරී ලෙස කොමාණ්ඩර් KONDO Koji කටයුතු කරනු ලබයි. Minesweeper Ocean වර්ගයට අයත් ‘HIRADO’ යුද නෞකාව දිගින් මීටර 67ක් සහ 55ක නැව් මුළුවකින් සමන්විත වන අතර, එහි අණදෙන නිලධාරී ලෙස ලුතිනන් කොමාණ්ඩර් ITO Akira කටයුතු කරනු ලබයි.
එමෙන්ම, කොළඹ වරායට සේන්දු වූ මෙම ජපාන ස්වයං ආරක්ෂක සාගරික බලකායට අයත් යුද නෞකාවන් හා සම්බන්ධ කටයුතු පවත්නා සෞඛ්‍ය මාර්ගෝපදේශයන්ට අනුකූලව සිදු කිරීමට නියමිතව ඇති අතර, මෙම නෞකාවන් 2022 මාර්තු මස 03 වන දින දිවයිනෙන් පිටත්ව යාමට නියමිතව ඇත.
Two (02) Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force ships arrive in Colombo
Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) ships ‘URAGA’ and ‘HIRADO’ which belong to the Minesweeper Division One arrived at the port of Colombo on a formal visit on 01st and 02nd March 2022 respectively. Upon their arrival, the two ships were welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval tradition.
The Minesweeper Division One to which both these ships belong is commanded by Captain NOGUCHI Yasushi. Meanwhile, the 141m long Minesweeper Tender ‘URAGA’ is commanded by Commander KONDO Koji and the ship is manned by a crew of 130. The Minesweeper Ocean ‘HIRADO’ is a 67m long ship where 55 crew members serve under the command of Lieutenant Commander ITO Akira, the ship’s Commanding Officer.
Before their arrival at the port of Colombo, the duo of JMSDF ships conducted a successful naval exercise with the Sri Lanka Navy Ship (SLNS) Sindurala off Colombo on 28th February. Among the exercises worked off, Divisional Tactics (DIVTACS), Maneuvering Exercises and Photo Exercise (PHOTOEX) were chief.
The proceedings of the visit of the ships will be conducted adhering to COVID-19 protocols owing to the pandemic concerns. Meanwhile, the ships are scheduled to depart the island on 03rd March.
