ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂගේ සහ අගමැති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂගේ සහෝදරයා වන බැසිල් රෝහණ රාජපක්ෂගේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු ගමන සම්බන්ධයෙන් පසුගිය දිනවල මාධ්‍ය ඔස්සේ විශේෂ කතාබහට ලක් විය.

කෙසේ වෙතත් මේ වන විට පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී ජයන්ත කැටගොඩ සිය මන්ත්‍රී ධුරයෙන් ඉල්ලා අස්වී ඇත. ඒ එම අසුන බැසිල් රාජපක්ෂ සඳහාය.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ මහලේකම්, පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී, නීතීඥ සාගර කාරියවසම් මහතාගෙන් අප කල විමසීමකදී ඔහු පැවසුවේ බැසිල් රාජපක්ෂ අනිවාර්යෙන්ම පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ සිටිය යුතු බවයි.

ඒ අනුව අද දින ඊට අදාල ලිපිය මැතිවරණ කොමසාරිස් වෙත බාර දෙනු ඇති අතර එය හෙට දිනයේදී ගැසට්ටු වුවහොත් 8 වනදා පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ දිවුරුම් දීමට බැසිල් රාජපක්ෂ හට හැකි වන ඇති බව ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් අප වෙත පවසා සිටියේය.

Basil is coming to Parliament on the 8th – General Secretary Sagara says

Basil Rohana Rajapaksa, the brother of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, has been the subject of special media coverage in recent days.
However, MP Jayantha Ketagoda has resigned from his post. That seat is for Basil Rajapaksa.

When we inquired from the Secretary General of the Sri Lanka People’s Front, Member of Parliament, Attorney-at-Law Sagara Kariyawasam, he said that Basil Rajapaksa must be in Parliament. Accordingly, the relevant letter will be handed over to the Commissioner of Elections today and if it is gazetted tomorrow, Basil Rajapaksa will be able to take the oaths in Parliament on the 8th, he added.
