ශ්‍රී ලංකා යුද්ධ හමුදාවේ 24 වන යුද්ධ හමුදාධිපති ලුතිනන් ජෙනරල් විකුම් ලියනගේ නව ධූරයේ රාජකාරි භාරගැනීමෙන් අනතුරුව ඊයේ (02) දින පෙරවරුවේ ජනාධිපති මන්දිරයේදී ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්‍ෂ මහතා හමුවිය.

මෙම හමුව අතරතුරදී, ජනාධිපතිවරයා නව ධූරයේ රාජකාරි භාරගත් යුද්ධ හමුදාධිපතිවරයා වෙත සුබපැතුම් එක්කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව සුහද අදහස් හුවමාරුවක නිරත විය.

මෙම සුහද හමුව සමාප්තියේ, ලුතිනන් ජෙනරල් විකුම් ලියනගේ මෙම හමුවීම සංකේතවත් කරමින් ජනාධිපතිවරයා වෙත සමරු තිළිණයක් ප්‍රදානය කරන ලදී.

 

 

 

New Commander Meets HE the President

Making his first formal visit upon assumption of office as the 24th Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage this morning (2) paid a courtesy call on HE the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the President’s House.

During this courtesy call, HE the President extended best wishes on his new appointment and exchanged a few thoughts with him.

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage adding memories to the courtesy visit presented a memento to HE the President as a symbol of appreciation and goodwill before the Commander’s departure.
