එප්පාවල ඉහළ සියඹලෑව වැව ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය රාජ්‍ය ඇමැති දුමින්දගේ නිරික්ෂණයට

වාරී සෞභාග්‍යා ව්‍යාපෘතිය ජාතික වැඩසටහනේ, ග්‍රාමීය වැව්/ අමුණු සංවර්ධනය කිරීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ ප්‍රථිසංස්කරණය කෙරුණු එප්පාවල ඉහළ සියඹලෑව වැව රාජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය දුමින්ද දිසානායක මහතාගේ නිරීක්ෂණයට ලක්ව ඇත.

ඒ පසුගිය පාර්ලිමේන්තු මැතිවරණයේදී ජනතාවට ලබා දුන් ඡන්ද පොරොන්දුවක් මත එප්පාවල ඉහළ සියඹලෑව වැව වාරී සෞභාග්‍යා වැඩසටහන යටතේ සංවර්ධනය කිරීමට යෝජනා කරනු ලැබීය.

ඒ අනුව ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහවැලි අධිකාරියේ යන්ත්‍ර සූත්‍ර යොදා ගනිමින් රුපියල් දහනව ලක්ෂයකට වැඩි මුදලක් යොදවමින් පාසී හා රොන් මඩ පිරී වසර ගණනක් අවභාවිතයට ලක්ව තිබූ ඉහළ සියඹලෑව වැව ප්‍රථිසංස්කරණය කිරීම සිදු කරනු ලැබීය.

එම වැව ප්‍රථිසංස්කරණ කටයුතු සිදු කර අවසන්ව ඇති අතර,ඒ හේතුවෙන් වැවෙහි වැඩි ජල ධාරිතාවක් ගබඩා කිරීමේ හැකියාව මේ වන විට පවතියි.

ප්‍රථිසංස්කරණය කෙරුණු වැව නිරීක්ෂණය කළ රාජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා එම වැව යටතේ පවතින කෘෂි ඇළ මාර්ග හා කෘෂි මාර්ගයන්ද කඩිනමින් පිළිසකර කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය කටයුතු සම්පාදනය කරන බවට එහිදී පොරොන්දු විය.

මෙම අවස්ථාවට ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂ මිහින්තලා ආසන තරුණු පෙරමුණු සභාපති තිළිණ නිරෝෂාන් පෙරේරා යන මහත්වරුන් ඇතුළු ප්‍රදේශවාසීන් පිරිසක් සහභාගී වූහ.

Minister of State Duminda Dissanayake inspects the Upper Siyambalewa Lake in Eppawala, which has been rehabilitated under the Rural Tank / Anicut Development Project of the Irrigation Prosperity Project National Program.

It was proposed to develop the Upper Siyambalewa tank in Eppawala under the Wari Saubhagya program on a promise given to the people at the last parliamentary election.

Accordingly, the machinery of the Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka was used to renovate the Upper Siyambalewa Lake which had been in use for many years due to siltation and siltation at a cost of over Rs. 19 lakhs.

Reconstruction work on the tank has been completed and as a result it is now possible to store more water in the tank.

The Minister of State inspected the rehabilitated tank and promised to make arrangements to expedite the repair of agricultural canals and agricultural roads under the tank.

President of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Mihintale Youth Front Thilina Niroshan Perera and a group of residents from the area participated in this occasion.
