චිත්‍රපට ක්ෂේත්‍රය මෙරට ප්‍රධාන කර්මාන්තයක් ලෙස පිළිගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය පසුබිම සැකසීම සඳහා ගත හැකි සියලු පියවර ගැනීමට කර්මාන්ත අමාත්‍යංශය සූදානම් බව කර්මාන්ත අමාත්‍ය විමල් වීරවංශ මහතා පවසයි.
අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව පැවසුවේ ඊයේ (05) සවස කොල්ලුපිටිය පිහිටි කර්මාන්ත අමාත්‍යාංශයේදී චිත්‍රපට ක්ෂේත්‍රයට සම්බන්ධ වෘත්තික සංසද 07ක නියෝජිත පිරිසක් සමඟ පැවැති සාකච්ඡාවක දීය.
කොරෝනා වසංගතය හේතුවෙන් චිත්‍රපට ක්ෂේත්‍රය මුහුණ පා ඇති ගැටලු සහ එම ක්ෂේත්‍රය කර්මාන්ත ක්ෂේත්‍රයක් ලෙස පිළිගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය පසුබිම සැකසීම යන ප්‍රධාන කරුණු දෙක පිළිබඳව සාකච්ඡා කිරීමට ඉහත කී එම ක්ෂේත්‍රයට සම්බන්ධ වෘත්තික සංසද 07 හි නියෝජිතයෝ මෙසේ කර්මාන්ත අමාත්‍යවරයා හමු වූහ.
චිත්‍රපට කර්මාන්තය, පිළිගත් කර්මාන්ත ක්ෂේත්‍රයක් ලෙස සලකා කටයුතු කිරීමේ වැදගත්කම මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කෙරුණු අතර මෙරට අනෙකුත් කර්මාන්ත ක්ෂේත්‍රවලට ඉන් අත්වන ප්‍රතිලාභ ද වෘත්තික සංසද 07 හි නියෝජිතයෝ පෙන්වා දුන්හ. කොරෝනා වසංගතය හේතුවෙන් චිත්‍රපට ශාලා මාස කීපයක් වසා තැබීම හේතුවෙන් මතුව ඇති ගැටළුවලට, චිත්‍රපට ක්ෂේත්‍රය කර්මාන්තයක් ලෙස පිළිගැනීම තුළින් යම් සහනයක් ලබා ගැනීමට හැකියාව ලැබෙන බැවින් එය එම ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ රඳා පැවතීමට රුකුලක් බව ද එම නියෝජිත පිරිස වැඩිදුරටත් පෙන්වා දුන්හ.
දේශීය සිනමාව නූතනයට ගැලපෙන පරිදි යාවත්කාලීන කරමින් Netflix වැනි ජාත්‍යන්තර අවකාශයන් සඳහා ඉංග්‍රීසි බසින් ගුණාත්මක සිංහල චිත්‍රපට නිපදවීමේ හැකියාව ද අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගි වී සිටි ප්‍රවීණ සිනමාවේදීන්ගෙන් විමසා සිටි අතර එවැන්නක වැදගත්කම ද අවධාරණය කළේය.

Wimal Weerawansa, Minister of Industry says that the Ministry of Industry is ready to take all possible steps to prepare the background for the recognition of the film industry as a major industry in the country.
The Minister said this at a discussion held at the Ministry of Industries in Kollupitiya yesterday (05) evening with a delegation of 07 professional forums related to the film industry.
Representatives of the seven professional forums in the film industry met with the Minister to discuss the two main issues facing the film industry due to the Corona epidemic and the background needed to recognize the industry as an industry.
The importance of treating the film industry as a recognized industry was emphasized and the benefits of other industries in the country were also pointed out by the representatives of the 07 professional forums. The delegation further said that the recognition of the film industry as an industry would help alleviate some of the problems caused by the closure of cinemas for several months due to the Corona epidemic.
The Minister also inquired from the veteran filmmakers who were present at the event about the possibility of producing quality Sinhala films in English for international spaces such as Netflix, updating local cinema to the latest and emphasizing the importance of such.
