ඉ – ස්වාභිමානී ඩිජිටල් සමාජ බලපෑම් දේශීය සම්මාන ලාභීන් දෙදෙනක් , මෙවර 2021 World Summit Awards අන්තර් ජාතික සම්මානයට ලක්ව ඇතිබව තොරතුරු හා සන්නිවේදන තාක්ෂණ නියෝජිතායතනය සදහන් කරයි.

ජාත්‍යන්තර මට්ටමින් ශ්‍රී ලංකාව නියෝජනය කිරීම සඳහා “ඉ -ස්වාභිමානී ’ සම්මාන ලත් නවනිපැයුම් අටක් මෙවර ඉදිරිපත් වූ අතර, ඉන් ‘කතුරුවරයා ’ නව ඩිජිටල් නිපයුම ‘සංස්කෘතිය සහ සංචාරක’ කාණ්ඩයේ ජයග්‍රාහකයා ලෙස තේරී පත්ව තිබේ . මෙම අංශයෙන් ශ්‍රී ලංකාව ජයග්‍රහණය කළ පළමු අවස්ථාව ද මෙයයි. ‘තරුණ නවෝත්පාදකයින්’ කාණ්ඩයේ ජයග්‍රාහකයා ලෙස ‘කොකෝ රෙමීඩි’ මෙම ජාත්‍යන්තර උළෙලේ දෙවන සම්මානය ලබාගනියි.

‘World Summit Awards’ යනු සමාජය ප්‍රවර්ධනය සඳහා දේශීය ඩිජිටල් නවෝත්පාදනයන් තෝරාගෙන ඔවුන්ට ඉදිරියට යාමට ගොඩනගා ඇති සුවිශේෂී අන්තර්ජාතික වේදිකාවකි.
ආරම්භකයින්, සමාජ ව්‍යවසායකයින්, උපදේශකයින්, ජූරි සභිකයන්, කථිකයන්, විශේෂඥයින්, රාජ්‍ය නායකයින්, පර්යේෂකයන්ගේ සහබාගිත්වයෙන් සංවිධානයවූ මෙය සිවිල් සමාජයේ ගෝලීය ජාලයකි. එමගින් තොරතුරු සන්නිවේදන තාක්ෂනය සමාජ අභිවුර්ධිය සදහා ධනාත්මකව සිදුකරන ජාත්‍යන්තර සිදුවීම් සහ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සමඟ ඒකාබද්ධව, කටයුතුකරන වසර 17කට වැඩි ජාත්‍යන්තර පළපුරුද්දක් ඇති සංවිධානයක් ලෙස ද හදින් වේ. ඊට රටවල් 182කට අධික සංඛ්‍යාවක සමාජීය සහබාගිත්වයක් ඇත. එමෙන්ම බලපෑමක් ඇති ඩිජිටල් අන්තර්ගතයන් සඳහා වූ අන්තර්ජාතික සන්නාමයක් වන අතර, දිනපතා වර්ධනයවන වන මතවාද , නවෝත්පාදකයින්, ව්‍යවසායකයින්, රජයේ සහ ව්‍යාපාරික නියෝජිතයින් සහ තරුණ ආරම්භකයින් සමඟ කටයුතු කරයි.

ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී ක්‍රියාදාමයක් තුල සහ ඉහළ තරඟකාරී සම්මාන පද්ධතියක් හරහා වසරකට ජයග්‍රාහකයින් 45 දෙනෙකුපමණ මෙමගින් තෝරාගනියි.

‘කතුවරයා ’ යනු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ නව්‍ය ඩිජිටල් වේදිකාවක් වන අතර එය පරිශීලකයින්ගේ කියවීමේ අත්දැකීම වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම සඳහා නිර්මාණය කර ඇත. එමගින් ආධුනික සහ වෘත්තීය කතුවරුන්ට උපකාර කිරීම සඳහා කැපවී සිටියි. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ විශාලතම සිංහල භාෂා නවකතා සහ කෙටිකථා එකතුවක් ලෙස පහසුවෙන් අවශ්‍ය තෝරා ගෙන කියවීමේ නිදහස ලබා දී ඇති ’ ජංගම යෙදුමකි. 50,000 කට අධික Android යෙදුම් භාවිතා කරන්නන්, 200 කට වැඩි කතුවරුන්,සහ දිනපතා වර්ධනය වන සිංහල භාෂා පාඨකයින් සහ ලේඛකයින් ප්‍රජාවක් ‘කතුවරය’ සමග එක්වසිටිති. මෙය I OS, Android සහ Web වෙතින් ලබා ගත හැකිය. මිට එකතුවන සෑම නව නිර්මාණයක්ම පරිශීලකයින්ට ක්ෂණිකව දැනුම් දෙනු ඇත. පරිශීලකයින්ට යෙදුම හරහා කථා සෙවීමට, තෝරාගැනීමට , පිටු සලකුණු කිරීමට සහ ප්‍රතිචාර ලබා දීමට හැකිය. කතුවරුන්ට මෙන්ම පරිශීලකයින්ට ඔවුන්ගේ නිර්මාණාත්මක අදහස් බෙදා ගැනීමට ‘කතුවරයා ’ ප්‍රජා විශේෂාංගය භාවිතා කළ හැකිය. ‘කතුවරයා ’ ආධුනික කතුවරුන්ට කෙටි කාලයක් තුළ සැලකිය යුතු සහ ආකර්ෂණීය රසික පිරිසක් ගොඩනගා ගැනීමට උපකාර කරයි.

Coco Remedy යනු පොල් රෝග සහ පළිබෝධ ආක්‍රමණයන් පිළිබඳ නිරීක්ෂණ සහ හඳුනා ගැනීමට සහායවන ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සංවර්ධනය කරන ලද පළමු ජංගම සහ වෙබ් පාදක යෙදුමයි. මෙම වැඩසටහන සඳහා වූ පර්යේෂණ ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොල් පර්යේෂණ ආයතනය (CRISL) සමඟ එක්ව සිදුකර ඇත. පොල් වගාව විනාශ කරන වැලිගම පොල් කොළ මැලවීමේ රෝගය (WCLWD) සහ පොල් දළඹු උවදුර (CCI) කළමනාකරණය කිරීමට Coco Remedy ජංගම සහ වෙබ් පාදක මෘදුකාංග භාවිතා කරනු ලබයි. මැග්නීසියම් ඌනතාවය නිසා ඇතිවන කොළ කහ වීම රෝගය ඇති කොළ නිවැරදිව වෙන්කර හඳුනා ගැනීම,වියලිකොල සහ රෝගිකොල වෙන්ව හදුනාගැනීමේ දුෂ්කර තාවය ජයගැනීමට මෙමගින් හැකියාව ලැබේ .ඒ සදහා රෝග ලක්‍ෂණ සහිත පොල් කොලයක ඡායාරූපයක් ලබා ගැනීමෙන් රෝගය නිවැරදිව හඳුනා ගැනීමට හැකි වේ.

මෙම ජයග්‍රහණය පිළිබඳව අදහස් දක්වමින් තොරතුරු හා සන්නිවේදන තාක්ෂණ නියෝජිතායතනය යෙහි (ICTA ) සභාපති ඕෂද සේනානායක මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කළේ, “අපගේ දේශීය නවෝත්පාදකයින් ජාත්‍යන්තර මට්ටමින් ප්‍රසිද්ධියට පත්වීම ගැන අපි අතිශයින් ආඩම්බර වෙමු. එමෙන්ම ජාතියක් වශයෙන් ශ්‍රී ලංකාව තුළ ඇති සැඟවුණු දක්ෂතා හදුනාගැනීමට ජාත්‍යන්තරයට මෙමගින් හැකියාව ලැබේ. අපගේ දේශීය ආරම්භක තාක්ෂණික ව්‍යාපාර ව්‍යාප්ත කිරීමට සහ ඔවුන්ට සහායවීමට තොරතුරු හා සන්නිවේදන තාක්ෂණ නියෝජිතායතනය( ICTA) නිරතුරුවකටයුතු කරමින්සිටියි. 2024 වන විට ඇමෙරිකානු ඩොලර් බිලියන 3 ක අපනයන ආදායමක් ලබන රටක් බවට පත්වීමට සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකාව ආරම්භක සහ තාක්ෂණික නවෝත්පාදන සඳහා කේන්ද්‍රස්ථානයක් ලෙස ස්ථානගත කිරීමට ආරම්භකයින් Startup ප්‍රධාන ගාමක බලවේගයක් වනු ඇත.මෙම අන්තර්ජාතික සම්මාන ලැබීම හා ජාතිය අභිමානයට පත්කල ‘Coco Remedy’ සහ ‘Kathuwaraya’ යන නිර්මාණ දෙකට තම ආයතනයේ සුබ පැතුම් පිරිනමන බවද ඔහු ප්‍රකාශ කරන ලදී .

 

 

 

 

ICTA ‘E-Swabhimani’ Trailblazers Win Big at World Summit Awards 2021

Two big wins for Sri Lanka under the categories Culture and Tourism by ‘Kathuwaraya’ and Young Innovators by ‘Coco Remedy’.

The Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka announced that two of the ‘E Swabhimani’ – Digital Social Impact Awards’ candidates nominated to respresent Sri Lanka at the World Summit Awards 2021, had been selected as winners in each of their categories.

Eight ‘E Swabhmani’ nominations were put forward to represent Sri Lanka on an international scale, out of which ‘Kathuruwaraya’ was selected winner of the ‘Culture and Tourism’ category, the first time that Sri Lanka has won in this category. ‘Coco Remedy’ was selected as winner of the ‘ Young Innovators’ category.

The ‘World Summit Awards’ is a unique platform that selects and promotes local digital innovation to improve society. Providing the freedom to choose from the largest Sinhalese language novels repository in Sri Lanka. ‘Kathuwaraya’ mobile app is a hassle free way to find your favorite Sinhalese language novels and short stories. With over 50,000 android app users, 200+ authors, a growing community of Sinhala language readers and writers contributing to ‘Kathuwaraya’, the platform is available in iOS, Android and Web.

The app will notify the users whenever new stories are added to the platform. Users can search, filter, bookmark and give feedback on the stories through the app. Authors as well as users can use ‘Kathuwaraya’ community feature to share their creative ideas.
‘Kathuwaraya’ helps amateur authors to build up a significant and engaging fan base within a short period of time.

Coco Remedy is the first mobile and web-based application developed in Sri Lanka that provide surveillance and identification of coconut diseases and pest infestations. The research for this program was conducted in collaboration with the Coconut Research Institute of Sri Lanka (CRISL).

Coco Remedy uses mobile and web-based software to manage Weligama Coconut Leaf Wilt Disease (WCLWD) and Coconut Caterpillar Infestation (CCI), which devastate coconut cultivation. In WCLWD, yellowing of leaves which also associates with Magnesium deficiency makes it difficult to distinguish the diseased palms accurately. Similarly, the dried appearance of leaves due to CCI is difficult to distinguish from leaf scorching. Coconut growers, Estate managers of plantation companies, Researchers of Coconut Research Institute
(CRISL), Coconut Development Officers (CDOs), and the general public will be able to identify diseased palm accurately by capturing a photograph of a leaf with symptoms.

Commenting on the win Chairman ICTA, Mr.Oshada Senanayake stated, “we are extremely proud that our local innovators have captured the limelight on an international scale. This goes to show the hidden talent Sri Lanka has as a nation. We at ICTA are constantly driving initiatives to support our local start-ups come to the forefront and expand their businesses. Start-ups will be a key driving force towards becoming a US $ 3 billion export earner by 2024, and positioning Sri Lanka as a hub for start-ups and technology innovation”.
