මුහුදේදී රෝගී තත්වයට පත් ධීවරයෙකු ගොඩබිමට රැගෙනවිත් ප්‍රතිකාර සඳහා යොමු කිරීමට නාවික හමුදා සහය
ගාල්ල ප්‍රදීපාගාරයේ සිට නාවික සැතපුම් 115ක් පමණ (කිලෝ මීටර් 213ක් පමණ) දුරින් වු ගැඹුරු මුහුදු ප්‍රදේශයේ දී හදිසි රෝගී තත්වයකට ලක්වූ මෙරට බහුදින ධීවර යාත්‍රාවක ධීවරයෙකු ගොඩබිමට රැගෙනවිත් ප්‍රතිකාර සදහා යොමු කිරිමට නාවික හමුදාව අද (21) පෙරවරුවේ කටයුතු කර ඇත.
ගාල්ල ධීවර වරායෙන් 2022 පෙබරවාරි මස 08 වන දින ධීවර කටයුතු සඳහා පිටත්ව ගොස් තිබූ ‘රාජා 01’ (ලියාපදිංචි අංක IMUL-A-0105 KLT) නැමැති බහු දින ධීවර යාත්‍රාවේ සිටි ධීවරයෙකු හදිසියේ රෝගි තත්ත්වයට ලක්වී ඇති බව ධීවර හා ජලජ සම්පත් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් නාවික හමුදා මුලස්ථානයේ පිහිටි සමුද්‍රීය සෙවීම් හා මුදවා ගැනීම් මධ්‍යස්ථානය වෙත දැනුම් දෙන ලදී.
ඒ අනුව, එම දැනුම් දීමට වහාම ප්‍රතිචාර දැක්වූ නාවික හමුදාව, රෝගී තත්වයේ සිටි ධීවරයා ප්‍රතිකාර සඳහා ගොඩබිමට රැගෙන ඒමට දකුණු නාවික විධානයට අනුයුක්ත, හතරවන වේග ප්‍රහාරක මුර යාත්රා බලඝනයට අයත් පී 485 යාත්‍රාව එම මුහුදු ප්‍රදේශයට යොමු කරන ලදි. අනතුරුව රෝගී තත්ත්වයේ සිටි ධීවරයා වෙත ප්‍රථමාධාර ලබා දෙමින් කඩිනමින් ගාල්ල වරාය වෙත වේග ප්‍රහාරක මුර යාත්‍රාව මඟින් රැගෙන විත් වැඩිදුර ප්‍රතිකාර සඳහා ගාල්ල, කරාපිටිය රෝහල වෙත යොමු කිරීමට කටයුතු කරන ලදී.
තවද, ශ්රී ලංකාවට අයත් සාගරික සෙවීම් හා මුදවා ගැනීම් කලාපය තුළ ආපදාවට පත් වන නාවික හා ධීවර ප්‍රජාවට සහන සැලසීම සඳහා නාවික හමුදාව නිරත්නතර සුදානමෙන් සිටී.
Navy renders assistance to bring ashore ill fisherman for treatment
Sri Lanka Navy brought ashore an ill fisherman in the high seas and rushed him to hospital for treatment today (21st February 2022). The fisherman who was aboard a local multiday fishing trawler, in seas about 115 nautical miles (about 213 km) off the Galle Lighthouse, had suddenly fallen ill and was in need of medical attention.
The particular multiday fishing trawler ‘Raja 01’ (Reg No IMUL-A-0105 KLT) was on a fishing voyage leaving the Galle fisheries harbour on 08th February 2022. Meanwhile, the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, disseminated the situation of this ill fisherman, who was aboard the trawler, to the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) Colombo at Navy Headquarters.
In response to a request for assistance, Sri Lanka Navy sent out the Fast Attack Craft P 485 of the 4th Fast Attack Flotilla (4 FAF) attached to the Southern Naval Command to bring the ill fisherman ashore for treatment. Having taken over the patient, the Navy transferred him to the Galle Harbour administering first aid and subsequently he was rushed to the Karapitiya Hospital, Galle for further treatment.
Besides, the Navy stays prepared to respond to eventualities of this nature, with a view to assist naval and fishing communities in distress in Sri Lanka’s Search and Rescue Region.
