ශ්රී ලංකා නාවික හමුදාවේ සමාජ සත්කාර ව්යපෘතිය යටතේ අනුරාධපුර,පලුගස්වැව මෛත්රීගම ඉදිකළ ප්රතිආශ්රැති ජල පිරිපහදු මධ්යස්ථානය ඊයේ (24) දින විවෘත කර ජනතා අයිතියට පත් කෙරිණි.
නාවික හමුදාධිපති වයිස් අද්මිරාල් නිශාන්ත උළුගේතැන්නගේ මඟ පෙන්වීම මත සෞඛ්ය අමාත්යාංශයේ මූලිකත්වයෙන් සහ නාවික හමුදාවේ තාක්ෂණික හා ශ්රම දායකත්වයෙන් ප්රතිආශ්රැති ජල පිරිපහදු මධ්යස්ථාන ස්ථාපිත කිරීම, නාවික
හමුදා සමාජ සත්කාරක ව්යාපෘතිය යටතේ සිදුකරනු ලබන සුවිශාල සමාජ සත්කාර්යයකි.
ඒ අනුව, නාවික හමුදාව විසින් අනුරාධපුර, පලුගස්වැව මෛත්රීගම ඉදිකරන ලද ප්රතිආශ්රැති ජලපිරිපහදු මධ්යස්ථානය ඊයේ දින විවෘත කර මෙලෙස ජනතා අයිතියට පත් කරන ලදි.
මෙම ප්රතිආශ්රැති ජල පිරිපහදු මධ්යස්ථානය මඟින් පලුගස්වැව මෛත්රීගම ප්රදේශයේ පවුල් 600 කට පමණ පිරිසිදු පානීය ජලය පහසුවෙන් ලබා ගැනීමට හැකියාව ලැබෙනු ඇත.
Navy-built RO plant vested in public at Maithreegama, Palugaswewa
The Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant built as part of the Naval Social Responsibility Project was declared open for community use at Maithreegama in Palugaswewa, Anuradhapura on 24th July 2022.
Sri Lanka Navy is passionately into this magnanimous project under the able guidance of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne. Thus, the Navy enabled its skilled manpower and industrial expertise for this community-oriented development task which was backed by the Ministry of Health.
The newly established Reverse Osmosis plant will provide safe drinking water to around 600 families at Maithreegama in Palugaswewa, fulfilling a long-felt need of the villagers.
