දිවයිනට බලපා ඇති අයහපත් කාළගුණික තත්ත්වය හමුවේ ඉදිරියේ දී ගංවතුර අවධානමක් ඇති වුවහොත් ජනතාවට කඩිනමින් සහන සැලසීම සඳහා බටහිර සහ දකුණු නාවික විධානයන් තුළ සහන කණ්ඩායම් 35ක් සූදානම් කර ඇති බව නාවික හමුදාව පවසයි.

ඒ අනුව ඇති විය හැකි ගං වතුර අවධානමට පෙර සුදානමක් වශයෙන් බටහිර නාවික විධානය මගින් ආපදා සහන කණ්ඩායම් තුනක් (03) රත්නපුර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ ස්ථානගත කර ඇති අතර, ක්ෂණිකව ස්ථානගත කිරීම සඳහා තවත් අමතර සහන කණ්ඩායම් 24ක් බටහිර නාවික විධානයෙහි සූදානමින් තබා ඇත.

එමෙන්ම, දකුණු නාවික විධානය මගින් ද සහන කණ්ඩායමක් (01) උඩුගම ප්‍රාදේශිය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාශයේ උඩලමත්ත ප්‍රදේශයේ ස්ථානගත කර ඇති අතර, ක්ෂණිකව ස්ථාන ගත කිරීම සඳහා තවත් අමතර ගංවතුර ආපදා සහන කණ්ඩායම් 07ක් දකුණු නාවික විධානයෙහි සූදානමින් තබා ඇත.

තවද, දිවයිනට බලපා ඇති මෙම අයහපත් කාලගුණික තත්ත්වය හමුවේ පීඩාවට පත්වන ජනතාවට අවශ්‍ය සහන සැලසීම සඳහා අවශ්‍යතාවය මත සහන කණ්ඩායම් කඩිනමින් යෙදවීමට නාවික හමුදාව නිරන්තර සූදානමින් සිටී.

 

 

 

Navy stands ready to extend relief to people during inclement weather

Sri Lanka Navy has made 35 relief teams ready in the Western and Southern Naval Commands as of now, in preparation of possible flood due to heavy rains in existence in several parts of the island.

As an anticipatory action, the Western Naval Command has pre-deployed 03 flood relief teams in the Ratnapura district and 24 more teams have been kept on standby in the Western Naval Command for prompt deployment in need.

Further, the Southern Naval Command has deployed a relief team in Udamalaththa area of Udugama Divisional Secretariat. Besides, 07 more Navy relief teams remain on standby to deploy themselves during flood emergency.

Further, the Navy is prepared to deploy more relief teams as necessary to reach out to the public in distress following inclement weather prevailing in the island.
