බහුදින ධිවර යාත්රා හිමිකරුවන්ගේ ගැටළු විසදා දෙන බව අමාත්‍ය ඩග්ලස් පවසයි
බහුදින යාත්‍රාහිමියන්ගේ ගැටලු සම්බන්ධයෙන් ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා හා අග්රාමාත්ය මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා සමග සාකච්ඡා කර අවශ්‍ය විසදුම් ලබා දීමට කටයුතු කරන බව ධීවර අමාත්‍ය ඩග්ලස් දේවානන්දා මහතා පවසයි.
අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව පැවසුවේ බහුදින ධීවර යාත්‍රාහිමියන්ගේ සංගමයේ නියෝජිතයින් සමඟ පැවැති සාකච්ඡාවේදිය.
මෙහිදී අදහස් දක්වමින් බහුදින ධීවර යාත්‍රාහිමියන්ගේ සංගමයේ නියෝජිතයින් පැවසුවේ, ඔස්ට්‍රේලියානු රජය මගින් ලබා දෙනු ලබන VMS යන්ත්‍ර සවිකිරීමේදී බහුදින ධීවර යාත්‍රාහිමියන්ට අසාධාරයනයක් නොවන ආකාරයෙන් සවි කිරීමේ අවශ්‍ය කටයුතු සලසා දෙන ලෙසත් VMS යන්ත්‍ර සවිකිරීමේ කටයුතු කඩිනම් කල යුතු බවයි.
තවද ධීවර කටයුතු සදහා අරාබි මුහුදු තීරයට හා මාලදිවයින් මුහුදු තීරයට යාමේදී සිදු කරනු ලබන බාධාවන් පිළිබදවද අමාත්‍යවරයා දැනුවත් කල අතර දැනට මාලදිවයින,අන්දමන් දූපත්,ඉන්දියාවේ අත්අඩංගුවට පත්ව නිදහස් කරන ලද ධීවරයින් මෙන්ම අත්අඩංගුවේ සිටින ධීවරයින් ද නිදහස් කර ගෙන මෙරටට ගෙන ඒමට අවශ්‍ය කටයුතු සිදු කරන ලෙසද ඉල්ලීමක් කරන ලදි.
මේ අවස්ථාව සදහා බහුදින ධීවර යාත්‍රාහිමියන්ගේ සංගමයේ නියෝජිතයින් පිරිසක් හා ධිවර අමාත්‍යතුමන්ගේ කාර්ය මණ්ඩල නිලධාරින් පිරිසක්ද එක්ව සිටින ලදි.
Minister Douglas says the problems of multi-day fishing vessel owners will be solved
Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda says that steps will be taken to discuss the problems of multi-day trawlers with President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The Minister said this at a discussion held with representatives of the Multi-Day Fishermen’s Association.
Representatives of the Multi-Day Fishermen’s Association said that the installation of VMS machines provided by the Australian Government should be expedited and that the installation of VMS machines should be expedited in a manner that is not unfair to the multi-day fishing vessel owners.
The Minister also briefed the gathering on the obstacles to fishing in the Arabian Sea and the Maldives. A request was made.
Representatives of the Multi-Day Fishermen’s Association and staff members of the Minister of Fisheries were also present on the occasion.
